Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Diners rave about the freshness of the fish, specifically the cod, which is reputed to be moist and perfectly cooked. The chips also get high marks for having the perfect combination of crispiness and fluffiness. Many customers appreciate the gluten-free and vegetarian options, which cater to a diverse set of dietary preferences. The friendly and chatty staff contribute to the overall inviting atmosphere. Those dining in the cozy restaurant area often comment on its cleanliness and airy design, enhancing the overall experience. Plus, patrons enjoy the lovely assortment of sides, especially the curry sauce, which adds a delicious twist to the traditional fish and chips.

Most Disliked

Some diners have mentioned wait times during peak hours, especially on busy weekends, as a drawback, with larger groups sometimes requiring patience for their meals. While the menu is diverse, a few customers expressed a wish for more fish varieties beyond the traditional cod and haddock. The lack of outdoor seating options has been noted by some, particularly during the warmer months when diners may want to enjoy their meals outside. Additionally, paid parking in the area can be an inconvenience for visitors looking to enjoy a quick meal without extra hassles. These minor issues do not overshadow the overall enjoyment but are worth considering for a smooth visit.

The perfect fish and chips. When I think fish & chips I have a mental image and Corries Cabin delivered it on a plate (and in a teapot). Large cod & chips, mushy peas, bread & butter for a couple of chip butties and a pot of tea. Friendly service, food cooked fresh to order and a lovely moist piece of Cod. Ate in the little restaurant area which was spotlessly clean and airy with large windows all round. Left a happy bunny. Perfect for a quick meal after a day out on the boat. For the quality of the meal I thought it was fair value.

A fantastic fish supper. One of the best on the south coast. Even with an order for 20 people all served piping hot. Strongly recommend it.
